Volcanic Slopes of Kona, Hawaii. ACE Ranked. Auction Record Holder.
Henry still remembers the first sip.
He was standing on the volcanic slopes of Kona, morning mist lifting, cup warm in his hands. One sip and everything shifted; the depth, the balance, the complexity that shouldn't exist in a single cup.
He didn't know it then, yet that same Kona SL34 coffee would go on to rank #1 in the 2021 Alliance for Coffee Excellence Hawaii Private Collection.
Four years later, in 2025, it sold for $910.00 per kilogram at the Dubai World of Coffee Auction — the highest price ever paid for an American-grown coffee.
Today, LOVEz air roasts each rare batch and shares it with the world, one really small lot at a time.
What Makes Kona SL34 Different
SL34 is a rare Kenyan cultivar that found its ideal home on Hawaii's volcanic slopes. Rich lava soil, high altitude, and Kona's unique microclimate slow the cherry's development and concentrate its flavour in a way that no other American-grown coffee can replicate.
The result is a cup with the brightness of a great African coffee and the body of a classic Hawaiian roast: balanced, layered, and unlike anything else in your cup.
What Air Roasting Does for This Bean
A coffee that ranked #1 and sold for $910 per kilogram deserves a roast method that protects every note the mountain built into it. Hot air wraps every bean from every angle — no drum, no direct flame, no burnt edges obscuring what makes this bean worth drinking. Medium-light roast. Clean. Precise. Nothing lost.
“It was good! Best I can describe it, just a nice fresh taste. It smells great.” Sandy, Verified Customer
